Produktion: BEGINNINGS
Die Aufführung besteht aus zwei Teilen mit einer kurzen Pause.
Im ersten Teil werden Gedichte von Denise Levertov und die Sonate für
Violine und Cello von Maurice Ravel miteinander verwoben. Durch ihre
spirituelle Bedeutung, ihre kühne Struktur und ihre ausgesprochene Schönheit
spiegelt diese Dichtung das Bewusstsein unserer Zeit. Es sind prophetische Gedichte
für das 21. Jahrhundert. Das Stück von Maurice Ravel bietet uns die ganze Palette
von Gefühlen in all ihren Farben und Stimmungen: von zarter Lyrik über Momente freudigen Überschwangs bis hin zu Trauer und Schmerz – sie alle sind Teil unseres Daseins.
Der zweite Teil der Aufführung führt die Erforschung unseres inneren Lebens fort: japanische Tankas (moderne, kurze Haikus) und die Präludien für Violoncello
von Sofia Gubaidulina. Die Tankas sind eindrückliche Bilder von Seelenereignissen, mal poetisch und transzendental, mal absurd und witzig. Die Stücke für Violoncello
sind zeitgenössisch, kurz und knapp – ein lebhaftes Abenteuer in neue Seelen- und Klanglandschaften.
Öffentliche Abendvorführungen: Dieses Programm gibt es als öffentliches Abendprogramm. Ausserdem bieten wir es ganz oder ausschnittweise als Aufführung oder Workshop für Ihre Oberstufenklasse an. Wir schöpfen aus unserer langjährigen Erfahrung in der Arbeit mit jungen Erwachsenen, um eine Veranstaltung auf diese Altersgruppe und Ihre spezifischen Bedürfnisse und Wünsche zuzuschneiden.
PERFORMANCE: BEGINNINGS
Program: The performance is in two parts with a short intermission.
The first part consists of an interwoven sequence of poetry by Denis Levertov
and the Sonata for Violin and Cello by Maurice Ravel. The outspoken beauty
of this poetry acutely reflects the consciousness of our time in its spiritual meaning and in its bold structure. It is truly prophetic poetry for the 21st century. The composition by Maurice Ravel presents us with a full palette of feelings in its varied colors and moods: from delicate lyricism to moments of joyful exuberance to expressions of sorrow and pain – all parts of our existence.
The second part of the program continues the exploration of our inner lives: Japanese Tankas (modern, short Haikus) and the Preludes for Violoncello
by Sofia Gubaidulina. The Tankas are poignant imaginations of soul events,
at times poetic and transcendent and in other instances absurd and humorous.
The pieces for violoncello are contemporary, short and succinct, a lively adventure into new soul and soundscapes.
Public evening performance: This program is available as a public evening performance. In addition, we can offer the full or partial program to your high school students as a performance/ demonstration and/ or workshop. We are
able to draw upon our depth of experience (20 plus years combined) in working
with young adults to create an event especially designed for this age group and adjusted to your specific needs and wishes.
